Easter Vigil at Our Lady of the Assumption

Father will have no Deacons at this year’s Easter Vigil Celebration. In addition to the normal request for support, we have a few additional activities this year:

1. Fire pit set up (7:45 PM): we need two (2) Knights to help set up the fire pit to light the Easter Candle in the portico
2. “Guarding” Father & Lighting of the Easter Candle (8:00 PM): we need two (2) Knights to ensure Father Eduino’s vestments do not catch fire AND to assist him lighting the Easter Candle
3. Flashlights: PGK Will Friesen will bring the flashlights
4. Escort Celebration Participants back into the Church: we need as many Knights as possible to assist guiding everyone through the choir side doors by the portico and down the aisles (lights will be off and they will be entering with candles – we will have flashlights), we will need one (1) Knight to “guard” the other doors to redirect all to the choir side and then close the doors behind them
5. Exsultet & Choral: Brother Peter has us covered
6. Turning on Lights: Brother Jeff is set to go on this task
7. Refill Holy Water at Doors: after the baptisms and participants are renewing their baptismal vows, we need to refill the holy water at each door
8. Madeleine Cookies for OCIA Class: “prayer cookies” will be passed out after Mass as people leave, a few of us may be needed to cover all exits (handing out cookies to everyone leaving)
