Congratulations to all the brother Knights in our council. At the Annual State Meeting in May 2021, our council received several awards for our achievements in this Fraternal Year:
– Ninth Place in our division for Community Activities
– Fifth Place in our division for Faith Activities
– First Place in the State for our Web Page
2019-2020
With the restrictions caused by the pandemic in the latter part of this program year, our council was still active enough to be recognized with several awards at the State Convention:
– FAITH programs: #2– Day of Spiritual Reflection
– LIFE programs: #6 overall
– COMMUNITY programs: #4 overall
– FAMILY programs: #1–Consecration to the Holy Family
– ID Drive: Gold Recognition (more than $13,000)
2018-2019
Council 4970 Recognized for Faith in Action Programs
Council 4970 received well-deserved recognition for our Faith in Action programs at the 117th Annual K of C State Convention held from May 16- 18 in San Diego. We placed in all four Faith in Action categories, but did the best in Culture of life. Program requirements and judging were different this year because of the new Faith in Action program model. We also competed in a different division for the first time. First through third place winning Councils received trophies. Fourth through tenth place winners received Certificates of Recognition.
Our Culture of Life Programs won 2nd place out of 9 competitors and we received a trophy.
Our Faith Programs won 5th place out of 9 competitors and we received a Certificate.
Our Family Programs won 5th place out of ten competitors and we received a Certificate.
Our Community Programs won 7th place out of 10 competitors and we received a Certificate
